Veterans Administration Hospital

Dental care and treatment is only available to Veterans who are rated at 100% service connected disability through The Veteran’s Administration. Veterans are not allowed any medical or dental treatment on any military base either.
My service-connected disability is rated at “pensioned” so I am not eligible. I have been working with The Multnomah County Veteran’s service Advisor and The Military Order of the Purple Heart for about six years now to receive a 100% service connected disability so far though no luck. Also if a Veteran who is rated at a “Pension” service connected disability files income tax they are docked so much per month from the Veteran Administrations monthly payment to them

Bill Gates Sr. on the need for a new GI Bill.

Twenty million Americans benefited from the GI Bill post-WWII.
by Bill Gates Sr. and Chuck Collins
SIXTY years ago, on June 22, President Franklin Roosevelt signed into law the Serviceman's Readjustment Act of 1944, known as the GI Bill of Rights. Without the GI Bill, the American Dream would have never become real for millions of Americans.
Both of us benefited from the GI Bill, which opened tremendous opportunities for veterans and their families and transformed America. Between 1945 and 1956, more than 8 million returning veterans received debt-free college educations, low-interest home mortgages and small-business loan assistance
